Location of Patara Viewpoint Hotel
The Hotel Patara Viewpoint is located on the hillside overlooking the small village of Patara (also known as Gelemis). It is within easy walking distance of the village centre.
How to get here:
The nearest airport to Patara is Dalaman airport, at approximately 2 hours drive, but it is also possible to fly into Antalya airport, approximately 3.5 hours drive or 5 hours by bus from Patara.
There are many charter flight companies that fly from most UK and European airports. It is worth doing a search on the internet to see which flight best suits your needs. You could try the following airlines:
Flights from UK:
- Jet 2 airlines and Easy jet offer direct charter flights from London Gatwick and Manchester to Antalya throughout the year.
- Easy Jet, Jet 2, Thomson, Turkish airlines ,Pegasus and British Airways all offer flights direct from most UK airports to Dalaman and Antalya airports from April to end October.
- Turkish airlines, Pegasus and Atlas jet offer scheduled flights to the South coast of Turkey (Dalaman and Antalya) via Istanbul, throughout the year.
Flights from Europe
Airlines fly from some cities in Europe direct to Dalaman. It is worth checking to see if there is a flight flying from your nearest airport directly into Dalaman. Alternatively many companies fly into Antalya from most European airports.
Flights from outside Europe:
If you are flying into Turkey from outside Europe, then it is most likely that you will need to fly into Istanbul and then change for a domestic flight from Istanbul to dalaman. Domestic flights are also available between other large Turkish cities and Dalaman / Antalya.
Visas:
Visitors from the UK and most European countries no longer require a visa to enter Turkey. The maximum length of stay is 90 days in 6 months. However we always suggest that guests check whether a visa is required before travel as it is not only dependent on the country you are travelling from but also the nationality of your passport.
Airport transfers:
We are able to arrange private airport transfers for you in a comfortable air conditioned car or mini bus. The driver will be waiting for you at the ‘meeting point’ . To get to the meeting point, once you exit the airport, please make your way down the ramp towards the car park and over on your left, beyond the café, you will see where all drivers are waiting for their customers. Our driver will be waiting with a GELEMIS TOUR board with your names written on it. Please book private airport transfers before you travel to Turkey. Please enquire for prices.

Travelling by bus:
Turkey has a fantastic public transport system that is both economical and reliable. The long distance coaches offer incredible service, are comfortable and provide an economical way in which to travel. The long distance coaches from Izmir and Istanbul travel directly to Patara. For journeys from other cities, changes may be necessary, but connections are good. An efficient local mini bus service offers good local transport connections.
Traveling by car:
If you are travelling to the Hotel Patara Viewpoint by car, the village of Patara (Gelemis) is located off the main D400 highway. The hotel is signposted once you arrive in the village, but we are happy to send detailed instructions for locating the hotel, if requested. The hotel has ample free parking.
